Show Notes

This week RP opens up about her COVID journey and recaps a recent horror dealing with medical staff from New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Recent studies have shown that racial and ethnic minorities experience a lower quality of health care in this country.  They are less likely to receive routine medical (and even proper emergency medical care) and face higher rates of morbidity than non-minorities.

Self-advocacy in healthcare is critical now more than ever. It's life-saving. We are tired of hearing stories of Black men and women dying because their concerns were ignored or minimized. Enough is enough and it is time to hold these medical professionals and these healthcare facilities accountable.
