Show Notes

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. This week we have a fantastic guest by the name of Freddie Williams. We will be talking about our Thanksgiving weekend festivities as well as our new venture! Freddie and I are starting a new podcast entitled Relatively Speaking. In this podcast, we explore the intricacies of family dynamics. Navigating family can be a daunting task. Some of our families are straight-up crazy. The amount of secrets, twists and turns is something straight out of a telenovela. Through open, honest, and candid discussion, we will touch on the traumas, the dramas, and the positive aspects of family. Our goal is to move the needle forward, and by shedding light on some of our issues, we can begin to heal as a family and a community.

We will also talk about our experiences as Haitian American women and our struggles living the dual experience of being both black American women and Black Haitian American women.
