October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In this episode of According to RP, Ritha shares the mic with domestic violence advocates Audace Garnett and Evelyn Hicks. Audace is no stranger to the According to RP show and has talked to us about domestic violence in the past. Evelyn is the founder of Shades of Love Empowerment Group, an organization that raises awareness for male victims and survivors of domestic violence.

When it comes to domestic violence, society tends to focus on female victims and survivors. We do not often hear about men and youth victims/ survivors of domestic violence. But they are out there. Domestic violence does not discriminate and as you will hear in tonight's episode, the tactics and warning signs are the same across the board. Tune in to learn more about how men and youth are being affected by domestic violence, and what we as a community can do to raise more awareness.
